Meet Navneet
A city is built by those who understand its people.
Navneet Singh Lotey came to Brampton in 2009 as a student. He didn’t arrive with connections or a plan. He arrived the way a lot of this city arrived, and built from there.
Today he runs Lotey Associates in Ward 3, a consultancy that helps families with immigration, travel, insurance, and RCMP fingerprinting. He’s a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant. He also owns and operates a restaurant. Both businesses are here, in these wards, employing people from these neighbourhoods.
What that work actually looks like, day to day, is people arriving with a problem and needing someone to sit down and sort it out. Paperwork that went nowhere. A file nobody followed up on. A system that’s technically working and practically isn’t. It’s not so different from what a councillor’s office should do.
Navneet is married with two children. He’s spent seventeen years in Brampton watching this part of the city get less attention than it’s owed, and watching a community that makes up so much of these wards stay unrepresented at council.
He’s running because twelve years of the same representation is long enough, and because the people here deserve someone who answers.
